Wow, I can’t believe it has been more than three months since I last posted!
I think part of it is that I’ve been trying to figure out just what I want my posts to be about.
Themed or not?
Jesus only?
…Or more a hodgepodge of what I do in my life?
Blog experts say to keep on task with a solid theme and write to a target audience.
But that doesn’t work for me.
What does work for me is sharing whatever is on my heart at the time.
That could be Christ Jesus because He is on my mind a lot, or it could be about my grandkids, my family, or general
life observations.
So this post is a ‘coming out of sorts’, a breaking free from the confines of expectations of what blogs are supposed to be.
(At this moment I feel like I did when I was like 7 years old and taking my oath to go from a ‘Brownie’ to a ‘Girl Scout’. …. “On my honor, I promise to do my best…” )
I promise to share my thoughtswith you and hope that in some way they encourage you.
My postingswill be an offering to my Lord – Christ Jesus.
In the Holy Bible He says that “a man’s gift
will make room for him…” (Proverbs 18:16)which I take to mean that if I will apply my talents He will provide the audience – meaning I won’t have to push and propogate to get readers. And while we are on the subject of gifts:
What is your gift?
What talents do you have that you’d like to see developed more or be recognized? In your wildest dreams how would your GIFT
be utilized?Let’s talk about this more and see if we can encourage each other to press on to all the exciting things that Christ Jesus has planned for our future and our talents.
James 1:17
The Message (MSG)
“So, my very dear friends, don’t get thrown off course. Every desirable and beneficial gift comes out of heaven. The gifts are rivers of light cascading down from the Father of Light. There is nothing deceitful in God, nothing two-faced, nothing fickle. He brought us to life using the true Word, showing us off as the crown of all his creatures. ”
It’s lovely to see your post, Debbie! Writing what’s on your mind, especially when it’s about Jesus, faith or your grandkids and family, is a great way to blog. It’s good to share your gift of writing. Thank you for your encouragement in using our gifts, and may God bless you in continuing to use yours!
