Today’s the Day

Today’s the day. Election Day. We will each stand alone in the voting booth and cast our ballot for the next President of the United States. What an incredible privilege it is to live in a country that affords us this opportunity. And what an immense responsibility. The people’s choice today – between Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton, more than any other in my memory, will have a deep impact on the quality of the rest of our lives.

Vote!

So vote your conscience, yes. But please pray first and ask the God who knows all to guide you. Invite Him into your decision making process. As the one who knows the future to direct you when you step into that voting booth.

Why?

Because I believe the Sovereign Lord is a wise parent that is giving us – the citizens of these United States an opportunity to determine our destiny. His holy word seems to indicate this:

And it shall come to pass, when all these things are come upon thee, the blessing and the curse, which I have set before thee, and thou shalt call them to mind among all the nations, whither the Lord thy God hath driven thee…I call heaven and earth to record this day against you, that I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing: therefore choose life, that both thou and thy seed may live: -Deuteronomy 30

Choose life…

Cast a vote that you believe is best in line with Biblical principals and that will bring the best outcome for you and your children.

Accept the Results

And after you have voted today, release the outcome to the God who loves you and is always seeking your good. Relax in the power of his sovereignty and know that as long as you keep your relationship with God first and foremost in your life, He will provide for you and yours.

Relax in God’s Hope

As long as God is in the world there is hope.(1 Thessalonians 4)

Hope for a brighter tomorrow.

Hope for peace and safety.

Hope for the quality of life to enjoy all that is important to you.

Continue in Prayer

Lord God of Heave and Earth. Please cover the outcome of today’s election in your precious blood. We all have opinions and attitudes about who we think is best to run our country. But you alone know who is really the best choice. You hold the future of our country in the palm of your hands. We invite you into every part of the election process today. Be with us. Be with those who oppose our viewpoint. Bless this country God. Help us to return to our Godly heritage and honor you in everything we do. In Your holy name, Amen.
